Q: Did you misspellChina-Defence?
A: While half of the world uses the Queen's English, the other half of the world prefer using the American spelling of China-Defense. Just for your convenience, we had registered both www.china-defense.com and www.china-defence.com.

Q: How come you don't have any Chinese weapon specs on your website?
A: Unlike many of the websites on Chinese military out there, we're not interested in just rewording someone else's published works (like the Jane's books) then add some rumors from other Chinese internet websites and then call it our own. We prefer using original works and from authors that know what they're talking about.

Q: Do you accept article submission for your website?
A: We're always looking for good article for our website. Here's our guideline for article submission:

The article must be original and must be your own. Please keep your patriotism or political indifference to a minimum. We are more interested in accurate, creditable analysis or opinions on the Chinese defense matter. For hardware reviews, the article should focus on the weapon's history, design features, deployment, combat records and the writer's objective assessment.

The best way to submit your article is by email or post it on China Defense.com Forum. The articles to be submitted should be in "doc" format (Microsoft Word) and pictures as JPEG or PSD (Photoshop format). We request you not to submit html code, as we would have to recode anyway. We may edit articles for grammar and spelling or retouch the included images in a minimal manner.

China Defense.com has been started by and maintained by a dedicated group of volunteers. Hence, we would like to offer our apologies as we can not pay you for any information or pictures submitted to us. It has to be on a volunteer basis.

China Defense.com reserves the right of choosing whether or not to accept your submission for publishing.

Q: Why do you require registration to view the China Defense.com Forum?
A: We're sorry for the inconvenience. We use the registration requirement to cut down on bandwidth usage and to protect our copyright.

Q: I'm seeing a bunch of huge flashing yellow blocks or gruesome pictures!
A: You not suppose see those if you're accessing this website directly. It's most like your web browser's security setting is too high or some other problems. Please follow the instruction from the first question above. As for those images, those are the products of our website's anti-image leeching function.
