The Type 97 5.56mm Assault Rifle

The Type 97 5.56mm assault rifle was developed by NORINCO based on the Type 95 5.8mm assault rifle currently using by the Chinese military. It has many of the same features of the 5.8mm assault rifle like lightweight and compact design, good accuracy and high reliability. It was manufactured to the strict military standard.

The Type 97 5.56mm automatic rifle features:
