The Tank Museum is located in the Chaingping district outside of the Chinese capitol of Beijing. In front of the Tank Museum, visitors will find a Type 88C main battle tank (MBT) greets them at the entrance.
This particular Type 88C MBT was donated to the museum by the factory that produces the Type 88C for the People's Liberation Army (PLA). The PLA is currently using the Type 88C to slowly replaces their outdated Type 59 and 69 medium tanks, which are still in use by majority of the Chinese armor units.
